If you haven't changed your iPhone settings to keep your files as Jpg's then you will find that once you transfer the files to the PC you will get this image.
You can purchase a Heif image extension from the windows app store
: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/heif-image-extensions/9pmmsr1cgpwg?activetab=pivot%3Aoverviewtab
or use a free batch converter : FonePaw : https://www.fonepaw.com/heic-converter/
Once installed search for the installed program name "HEIC Converter Free".
Drag the Heic files straight into the program
Press convert, done
To switch back from HEIC to JPG go to your iPhone's settings, then Camera, then
Formats, then switch from High Efficiency (HEIC) to Most Compatible (JPG).
