How to Add A Second Instance Of A Folder Or Program On The Taskbar

You can pretty much do this for anything you want in the Taskbar.

As you can see, a second instance of windows explorer has been stacked / pinned to Taskbar.

Now I will show you how to create a second instance of a Folder on the Taskbar.

First go the your C drive and find a folder you would like on your taskbar.

In my case !!Test!!!

Right click on the folder, then click Send To, then Desktop (create shortcut)

Right click on the Shortcut created on the Desktop, then click properties.

In the Taget box insert the words c:\Windows\explorer.exe
Eg: c:\Windows\explorer.exe C:\!!Test!!!   (make sure there is a space between exe and C:\)

Then click on the Change Icon Button
In the Look for icons in the file:  type %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll then click OK.

Now choose another icon of your choice, then click OK, then Ok again

You can now Drag the icon onto the Taskbar
