For those of you who cant wait for Microsoft to remove that windows 10 icon in the system tray, here is how.

Simple tool : http://ultimateoutsider.com/downloads/

Direct : http://ultimateoutsider.com/downloads/GWX_control_panel.exe

When you receive a windows update make sure you hide the update (KB3035583)

Due to changes below doesn't work without a lot more work the tool above tested fine.

Go to Start, then Control Panel

Click On Programs/ Program and Feature, then View installed updates, then scroll down to KB3035583 or type KB3035583 into the search at the top.

Double click to uninstall, Must reboot.

Once the computer has restarted,  the Windows update icon will display in the system tray, double click on it,

If Not click Start, Then Type Windows Update in the Search, click on windows Update

On the Left click on Check for updates.

Click on 1 important update available (Do Not Click Install Updates)

Right click on Update for windows 7 for x64 based systems (KB3035583), select Hide update, click OK
