You can try to remove files and folders one at a time but you will find that some system files will not remove. You will then have to take ownership of those files then remove them.
This is not the recommended method.
Click on Start, then in search type "disk cleaner"
It will promt you to clean (c:), click ok
Disk Cleaner for (c:) will appear, click on clean up system files, click th tab more options
Under System Restore and Shadow Copies, click on Clean up....
Click delete.
