Every time you open Internet explorer you get this page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/products/ie-9/welcome-upgrade2
This happened on a freshly installed windows 7 machine
Your Internet option Homepage has been set to : http://www.google.com.au/ but it still persists in opening this page.
I have uninstalled IE9, installed, set google as default page, you name it, but the page remains
My AVG version = 2012.0.1913

Download and install Spybot
Run as administrator
Once installed it will place itself in your taskbar, you will need to exit this then go to Start, All programs, Spybot - Search and Destroy, right click on Spybot - Search and Destroy and run as administrator.
At the top menu click on mode, then advanced mode, then tools, on the right hand side tick all the boxes, in particular, Browser pages
In the left colum click on Browser Pages, you will now see http://g.msn.com/1me10IE9SE_ENUS/110
click change, key in say http://www.google.com/, press ok.
Ill be back tomorrow if this doesn't work but you should be right now.
You can also run Hijackthis to confirm that the entry at R1 is not: http://g.msn.com/1me10IE9SE_ENUS/110
Spybot = http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
