Your device will not respond or freezes or is giving you issues.
First thing, if possible backup Iphone/Ipod, plug into your Pc and make sure it complete a backup.
Press and hold the Home button and the sleep for about 5 seconds
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button till the apple logo appears now let go.
This will take some time to restart so be patient, the apple logo will remain there for sometime then eventually restart.
