Sick of the way itunes manages or syncs?

VERY IMPORTANT - BACK UP YOUR DATA BEFORE YOU PROCEED

THIS BACKUP DATA WILL BE REQUIRED FOR YOU TO CARRY OUT THIS MANUAL OVERRIDE

If you already have movies and music on your iphone and want to continue with this tutorial you will be asked to untick some boxes which will automatically delete all music & videoes so a backup is a must.  You can do this by backing up your documents folder.
You cannot say you have not been warned!! - DO YOUR BACKUP NOW.

You will be OVERRIDING the autosync function and will be MANUALLY placing all of your videos, music and ringtones onto your iphone.
Open itunes, plug in your iphone, when your phone comes up on the left hand side under devices, we are ready to go.

Click your device name, then under the summary tab at the top, tick manually manage music and videos.

Now make sure that movies, music and ringtones tabs are unticked.

From your iPhone ringtones folder, drag your M4R ringtone files to the library area.

Then grab the same file and drag it to the devices area.

Do the same for all your movies and music.

On your iphone go to settings : sounds then ringtone and choose your custom ringtone from list.

For your movies choose ipod then videos, all your movies should be there.

For your music choose ipod, all your music should be there.
