Backdrops For Your Movies

Most of you Movies backdrops can be done using Media Centre Master.

For the ones that cant, use VLC.

Open a movie using VLC, pause on a scene which you want to use as a backdrop.

Go to top menu and choose video then Snapshot.

Or in full screen view,  hit Shift And S

Again pause on another scene which you want to use as a backdrop.

Go to top menu and choose video then Snapshot.

Or in full screen view, hit Shift And S

The pictures are automatically placed in your Library / Pictures folder.

Move them to the movie folder and rename them as backdrop,backdrop1,backdrop2 Etc.

Remove Audio Language From MKV

When playing an mkv file I noticed it was in playing in another language.

In VLC go to audio then audio track .

The english content was the second on the list.

I then  downloaded mkvmerge GUI v2.9.0. : http://www.fosshub.com/MKVToolNix.html

Run mkvmerge GUI v2.9.0, on the input tab click on add,  find your mkv file.

All the video and audio & subtitles will be displayed.

My audio track was no2, so I left that ticked as well as the video v_mpeg4 tack.

All you need to do now is enter the output filename and press start muxing.

This is very quick.

Mov To mp4 Using Movavi Video Converter

This is an easy way to convert those mov files to smaller size using Movavi Video Converter14

In this example I converted a mov video file which was 584meg to an mp4 video file 640 x 480 43meg.

Though Movavi has the ability to rotate the trial version doesn't work so I used "Free video flip and rotate" to rotate the video.

Run Movavi Video Converter, then drag your mov file straight in.

Under Preset select " More presets for formats

Scroll down to MP4 and select the right MP4 Preset for you.

In my case MP4 MPEG-4 - 640 x 480(*.mp4)

When ready click Convert

In the trial version there is a watermark applied to the video only and 1/2 the length of the audio file is converted.
